The Marketing Meathead

What does Intermittent Fasting, If It Fits Your Macros, South Beach, Keto, and Paleo all have in common?

Well besides from all being Fad Diets, they’re all Fad Diets that actually work!

At first anyways…..

Sucking at Sustainability

In the long term, all of the diets mentioned above usually fail miserably in their deliverance to help people sustain the results that they achieve after completing their diet. You see the problem with these diets is that they are not sustainable. I mean can you really go the rest of your life without eating carbs? And do you really want to spend all of your time counting every single macronutrient that you consume to make sure that “it fits” your so-called daily allowance? In my experience, diet plans that are too extreme are not practical, nor are they realistic. And if your diet is not practical or realistic, then how can you expect it remain sustainable? And if your diet is not sustainable then how do you plan on maintaining the results that you originally had achieved from following it in the first place?

Taking a More Customized Approach

It’s no secret that I design Customized Online Nutritional Plans for people. In fact, our Online Programs now make up over 40% of our annual revenue each year. Not only has this service become extremely popular over the past decade for us, but in my opinion it is also one of the more important components for our clients to follow in order to maximize their results with both their physiques and their health. Don’t get me wrong, I believe that regular intense training is extremely valuable. However it’s true what they say – you really can’t out train a shitty diet. Therefore if you’re following a poor diet plan that lacks the proper nutrients and essential vitamins and minerals, then your overall progress with your results is going to be lackluster at best.

By taking a more customized approach to your diet, you are giving yourself a much better chance to succeed as you are following a plan that has been designed specifically for you. No two people are the same. Some of us have fast metabolisms, some of us have slower metabolisms. Some people are diabetics, while others might be cealic. Many people suffer from IBS, while many others can tolerate just about anything they put into their bodies. As human beings we all lead different lifestyles as well. Some of us have jobs that require us to stand and move around all day while others remain seated behind a computer for the better part of their work day. Some of us are active during our weekends while many of us prefer to just rest and relax and therefore remain relatively sedentary throughout our “Down Time”.

With that said, if we all lead different lifestyles and we all have different body types, then why the hell are we all following the same generic programs designed for the masses in hopes to achieve our own specific health and fitness goals?

A Penny For My Thoughts

Regardless if you are working with me on your diet or not, I still want you to succeed and accomplish your goals. Even if you’re not even a client of mine and are just an avid reader of my weekly blogs and daily fitness posts, I still want you to succeed. I truly enjoy what I do for a living and take great pride in knowing that I’ve been able to help someone make a positive difference in his or her life. Even if that difference is extremely minute, if it creates a positive change, then it was undoubtedly worth it.

Therefore I hope that you trust me when I tell you this – If you want to create lasting results with your health and your physique, then you NEED to start taking a more customized approach to how you train and feed your body.

Joining an overly crowded Boot Camp where the Instructor doesn’t even know your name (never mind to mention your health history), because it’s cheap, IS NOT TAKING A CUSTOMIZED APPROACH.

Following a diet plan that you find online or performing a workout that you see on YouTube, IS NOT TAKING A CUSTOMIZED APPROACH.

Working with a fitness professional who takes an interest in your health, past and current injuries, lifestyle, and most importantly YOUR health and YOUR fitness goals, IS TAKING A CUSTOMIZED, PRACTICAL, REALISTIC AND SUSTAINABLE APPROACH.
