Do You Need an Online Coach/Personal Trainer?
Does everyone need to be coached?
The truth is, no. Not everyone needs to work with a coach if they want to achieve success in their desired sport or with their health and physique. Some people have the knowledge and motivation to achieve their goals alone. However in my experience, there are very few people who possess both of these attributes when it comes to becoming successful with their health and fitness goals. And even when they do have that knowledge, they will often start second guessing themselves when things aren’t working right. This is just one of the many reasons why even some of the best trainers in the industry today (I’m including myself here) have their own coaches to bounce ideas off of and advise them on their own training, diet and supplementation program.
With that said, most people will experience MANY benefits from working with a professional, knowledgeable and experienced coach. And in this week’s blog, without trying to overly endorse my own coaching services, I’m going to list off just a few of these benefits.
1) Avoid Wasted Time
Spring is now officially here and the gyms are becoming filled with people wanting to achieve results with their physiques before the Summer Season begins. The sad reality is though that over 80% of these people won’t get anywhere close to their desired outcome because they do not know what they’re doing with their training and/or their diet. This is not their fault, but they should consider investing a bit in themselves to avoid this long painful process.
While they may not be spending their money on coaching, they’re definitely wasting a lot of time and funds on failing. If they invested in reputable, quality coaching, then they would most likely achieve the results they desire much quicker. Not only that, they would learn so much more from the coaching process, that they themselves would be able to sustain their results and achieve even more dramatic changes with their physique moving forward. It’s NOT a good use of time and money, going to the gym for 6-12 months failing to achieve results.
In my opinion, investing in online coaching is one of the smartest things you can do IF you’re not getting the results you want. The KEY is avoiding coaching which leaves you confused and doesn’t help you, otherwise it just adds to the existing issues that you’re already facing.
2) Achieve The Results You Want
Ultimately you’re chasing a specific goal in the gym. However no matter how badly you may want it, if you don’t know what the protocols to deploy and when to make the necessary changes, you won’t achieve them. This is why most people never really achieve their goals in the gym.
The right coaching will help you overcome this obstacle that the majority of people cannot!
3) Accountability
Even if you have a good understanding of nutrition and training, psychology can defeat you. When you’re not happy with the progress it’s all too easy to make rash changes and decisions leading to more plateaus and discontent.
Utilizing coaching will help remove this emotional burden from the process. All you have to do is follow the plan and make changes when needed. You don’t need to think about what changes you need to make because that is taken care of for you.
Like I said at the beginning of this week’s blog, some people don’t need coaching. However, most people do and I’ve witnessed countless occasions where people have changed their results for the next 3, 4 and 5+ years, just because they invested in the right coaching for a period of time to get ahead. And this includes even myself.
Whenever I work with a new online client I find it very fulfilling to analyze where they’ve come from and what they need to do in order to achieve their goal. Nurturing them throughout the process with weekly check-ins, my own personal guidance, as well as the years of knowledge and experience I’ve gained from helping other people achieve their own target health and fitness goals, allows me to guide my clients in the right direction.
Just imagine the differences you would see in your physique by having the proper guidance, telling you how to train and eat properly based on your own PERSONAL needs.

I want to finish off this week’s blog by reminding you that my own coaching services are not just for hardcore bodybuilders and fitness competitors. Anyone who wants to see positive changes with their physique and their health will benefit massively from this service. This isn’t just about your visual changes either. I truly focus on helping clients improve their mental relationships with food and exercise while ultimately helping them achieve their goals in a quicker and more effective manner.
Now is the time to make a decision and commit. If not to working with me, then with another coach who you trust and respect. Someone who is credible and reliable. Someone who practices what he or she preaches on a daily basis and lives the fitness lifestyle.
Remember, to be the best you need to work with the best. And don’t you think your body and health deserve the best of the best?
Yours in Good Health,
Nick Cosgrove
