HOW TO STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR HEALTH DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC – PART 1

Let’s be honest, a lot of us shit the bed with our health and fitness earlier this year when most of the world went into a complete lockdown due to COVID-19. I mean unless you were an avid outdoor runner or had access to a Private Training Facility on a regular basis, then you were pretty much shit out of luck when it came to your training and exercise.

What About All The Home Workouts?

Sure, you could have done a Home Workout with a couple of resistance bands and light dumbbells. But in all honesty, how many of us actually did these Home Workouts on a regular basis? And we would be kidding ourselves if we thought that these Home Workouts were even close in comparison to the workouts in which we would receive if we were training at an actual gym with cables, squat racks, barbells and a wide selection of weighted dumbbells. And yes, I’m familiar with the concept that doing something is better than doing nothing at all. However I’m even more familiar with the concept that consistently doing the bare minimum will only amount to mediocre results as well.

Deadly Diets?

And what about our diets? With the combination of working from home, not having to go out and socialize, and not to mention the daily stress from living though a Global Pandemic, how the hell were we expected not to look for a little comfort food from time to time? I mean besides myself and a few other crazies, who the hell is craving oatmeal and chicken breasts when the world is thought to be going to shit?

The Struggle IS Real

So here we are, 7 months into this Global Pandemic and many of us are struggling. Some of us are struggling financially. Some of us are struggling mentally. Some of us are struggling physically. And some of us are just struggling with anything and everything these days.

But what are we to do? Businesses have been closed. Jobs have been lost. Divorce rates are nearing an all time high. Liquor sales have gone up substantially. Gym memberships have dropped rapidly. People are depressed. People are scared. People are losing sight on the things that matter most in life. Mankind is at war with one another. A Pandemic that should be bringing people together (socially distancing ofcourse) is starting to tear us apart.

We need help.
We need focus.
We need direction.
But most importantly, we need our health…….
