How Our Small Business Has Managed To Survive COVID-19 So Far…..

I feel as if I must apologize for my lack of online activity these past few weeks. Truth be told, my Grand Mal Seizure that I experienced back in March really threw me off my game for a bit. I’ve never been in and out of the hospital so much in my life since my seizure occurred and although the Doctors still don’t know what the cause was or what triggered it, I feel as if we’re getting closer to finding out.

Another reason/excuse for my lack of activity on our Social Media Platforms is due the fact that our business has been insanely busy these past few months. Actually, according to our Accountant, we just finished our busiest and most profitable year on record. To say that I was shocked to hear this news given the fact that we are living/working through a Global Pandemic would be a gross understatement to say the least.

The Seizure That Knocked Me Off Social Media…..

The MRI

Well my MRI results are in!

And the results?

Believe it or not, according to the images of my brain on the MRI, I have what the Neurologist considers to be a “Normal & Healthy Looking Brain”. I know, I know, I'm just as shocked as some of you are as well!

What I was told could possibly be a few potential problems that showed on the CT Scan on the day of my seizure, proved to be just a blood vessel on my brain that was slightly contorted due to a combination of my fall and the amount of times I banged my head on the floor during my seizure, as well as the contrast dye used in my second CT Screening.

So all us well right?

Wrong.

MY FIRST SEIZURE

Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 is a day in which I will never forget. For this was without a doubt the first time in my 35+ years living on this planet that I had lost total and complete control of both my body and my mind. I even remember at one point during this particular day that I had thought to myself that I might actually die.

Not to sound overly dramatic, but to be honest, I downplayed how serious my seizure that took place last week at my gym was on Social Media. When I had originally posted what had happened on our Instagram and Facebook Platforms, I was still in a state of shock myself and didn't have all the information and details as to what had actually occurred. Now, exactly 10 days later, after completing 2 x CT Scans, 1 x MRI, and attending a 60 minute meeting with a Neurologist, I am bit more informed and aware as to what had occurred on that life changing day for me.

Learning To Let Go

I never imagined in all my years of Personal Training and Online Training that I would be in a situation where I would have a small waiting list of clients waiting to work specifically with me.

It goes without saying that I am incredibly flattered and forever grateful for the opportunity to be this busy at this point in my career.

Last year when COVID-19 first hit, I thought I might lose my business. Fast forward a year later, and I now find myself in a situation where I can barely handle all the new business that has come in during this Pandemic.

The days are long and the work can be challenging at times, but I honestly love every single moment of it. Helping people transform their lives for the better by helping them transform both their health and their physiques, has been without a doubt one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

But.......

I’m physically exhausted.

I’m emotionally drained.

And I’m at the breaking point of mental burn out......
