Relationships, whether they be romantic or family oriented, are not always easy to maintain and can require a lot of work from both parties involved to be able to continue to establish a sense of trust, understanding and love for one another. But what happens when that trust becomes lost? What happens when that sense of understanding turns into more of an annoyance and feelings of frustration? And what happens when that feeling of love develops into a feeling of loathing and hatred? Well, what usually happens is that the two parties either work harder on building and saving their relationship or decide to separate and go their own ways.
Read onI've got a confession to make - I'm pissed off this week! Generally speaking, I like to think of myself as somewhat of a positive person. I'm rarely in a bad mood, usually get along with most people, and always try to make the most out of any situation, whether it be a positive one or negative one. But this week I finally cracked. This week I finally broke down. This week I finally lost control. This week I decided to call out the wannabe trainers, their generic training programs and their famous fad diets that only produce fictitious results. This week I decided to go to war and go face to face with these self proclaimed "Fitness Gurus".
What defines a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet? According to the Canada Health Food Guide a "Healthy Diet" is defined as a diet which is heavily weighted towards "good foods" while minimizing "bad foods". Well that makes sense......except it actually doesn't.
How many cups of coffee have you had so far this morning? What did you eat for breakfast? Do you even eat breakfast?
These are just 3 of the many questions that I ask clients when creating a customized nutritional plan designed to help them achieve their health and fitness goals while still being suitable and manageable for their particular lifestyles.
To be honest, I could care less if you eat breakfast. And although I personally don't consume it, I don't think caffeine is that bad for us, unless ofcourse you have a heart condition and/or suffer from high blood pressure. However if you rely on caffeine just to be able to function throughout your day, and feel lethargic, irritable and grumpy unless you are able to get in your daily sugar fix, then I personally think your diet SUCKS. And the reason your diet SUCKS is because you haven't learned your own body. And the reason you haven't learned your own body is because you've let someone else tell you what to feed it and when to feed it. And the reason your diet doesn't work is because it's not been designed specifically for you.
