One thing I will always be, is completely upfront and honest when it comes to providing our clients with feedback. I have never believed that it's a good idea to bullshit people about the reality of their goals, or what they are currently doing in the gym and with their diet. In my opinion, by being completely honest with a client, we can ensure that everything is in place to progress at an optimal level, within the realms of their genetic potential.
Read onI've got a confession to make - I'm really bad at Personal Training.
Sure, I've helped hundreds of clients lose weight, build muscle and transform both their health and their physiques over the past twenty years.
Yes, I currently have a roster of over 200 clients that work with me on a weekly basis, both Online and In-Person.
And it's true that the majority of my clients have worked with me for over a decade and continue to work with me to this day.
However, truth be told, I really suck at my job.........
A couple of weeks ago I released a blog titled "When Will I See Results?". Essentially this blog covered a common question that I receive from new clients all the time, which is when and how long they could expect to see noticeable changes within their physique once they start training with weights consistently. The main problem with this question in which I addressed though, is that there is no specific timeline in which someone should expect to see results with their physique. There are multiple factors to take into consideration, such as each individual's current fitness level, genetics, how often they are training, how hard they are training, and what their diet looks like. And these are just some of the MANY different factors that will ultimately determine how fast or how slow results can be expected to be achieved.
Read onThis past week I just recently had my 100th client sign up to work with me Online. This is the first time in my 10 year career of Online Training, where I've had 100 clients working with me all at the exact same time. And even though this year I cut back on the amount of hours I spend training clients on the floor in the gym, I'm still putting in at least an additional 50 hours each week working with my In-House Clients at our Training Facility located in Downtown Vancouver.
So to say that I'm a currently a bit busy juggling both our Online Programs with our In-House Training would definitely be an understatement. However as always, I'm up for the challenge and grateful for the opportunity to work with so many people who trust me with their health and fitness goals.
The main obstacle that I currently find myself facing though, is finding the time to fit in my own workouts each week now that my free time is so limited. After all my years of rolling my eyes when someone would tell me that they have no time to exercise and workout, I now find myself making the exact same excuse not to train. However I love to train. I have to train. And most importantly, I need to train.
The Question Is - When Can I Train?
